Early in 2010 Chandigarh created history as it hosted its first fashion week, the Chandigarh Fashion Week 2010. The platform gave an opportunity to many designers, both established as well as upcoming, to showcase their talents. The Fashion Week began with the ace designer brand Libas paying rich tribute to rich Bollywood tradition of designs and craftsmanship, while it concluded with a Ritu Kumar show.
Libas, Ritu Kumar, Pallavi and Bharavi Jaikishan, Satya Paul, Charu Parashar, Monika Chaudhary and many more exhibited their designs at a three-day fashion extravaganza held from January 29 – 31 at Hotel Taj, Chandigarh.
